Hiranyakasipu, King of the Demons, engages his servants, the Raksasas in trying to kill Pralada Maharaja, his saintly son. Pralada Maharaja is a great devotee, one of the 12 mahajans, is fully engaged in meditating and serving the Supreme Personality of Godhead, thus the weapons of the demons had no tangible effect upon him.
